...or the chocolate, rather. Since Lindsey requested the "secret" brownie recipe, I will oblige. But only if you let me in on your secret blog Lindsey! I don't even know which Lindsey you are! I know several Lindseys. You may e-mail me your inclusion at catrachela AT yahoo DOT com. Haha.
Delicious SUPER SIMPLE Brownies
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup natural cocoa (unsweetened)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 stick melted butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla (real vanilla, please)
First melt stick of butter on low heat.
Then mix dry ingredients.
Add cooled, melted butter.
Add slightly beaten eggs.
Add vanilla.
Pour into greased pan (I make them for the cafe and so I bake them in silicone muffin pans, which makes it a perfect, even 1 serving, eye-pleasing size. Silicone pans do not have to be greased which is lovely)
Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes or when brownies are firm after being lightly tapped with your finger.
* You can add nuts if you like, or chopped chocolate sprinkled on top. Or whatever floats your boat or pleases your taste buds.
** These brownies are not good for your body in any way, but are great for your happiness. Yes indeed.

Thanks Sarah! Just in time for my college roommate reunion weekend!!
I am the Lindsey that was in CR on a missions trip through PC3 in the summer of 08 -- we built the steps and painted the orange walls and the green kitchen (after we built the walls, haha).
I was there when you came squealing out of the house with your pink EPT test. So, to watch Luka grow up with you and Jason through the blog really is a gift! Thanks for sharing!
p.s. I don't have a "secret" blog. I work for the gov't and we aren't allowed blogs. BUT, I'm considering starting one when I finish my clerkship (in two weeks) and if I do, I will let you know! haha!
Thanks again for the recipe! How many muffin pans does the recipe need?
Oh THAT Lindsey! What's up girl? At first I thought you might be Lindsey Guy from Wilmington who is in Panama. I remember bursting out onto my porch that morning and announcing that I was pregnant and y'all just kind of looked at me all shocked like. Haha. Thanks for following the blog! It's nice to know that good friends are keeping up. = ]
