Chapter 2 - You're leaving AGAIN?!

Don Quijote is aware of what a suitcase means by now, and he doesn't like it. He was trying to keep us from leaving again, but unfortunately for him we were up and away again and this time, our destination was the States United. Denham Springs, Louisiana to be exact. Our great friends Josh and now Lauren Stevens were to be wed on June 16th and both Jason and I had the privilege to be part of their wedding. It was so much fun to get to see everybody in Denham again. The wedding and all of the events surrounding it were beautiful. Going to a wedding was an ideal occasion for seeing everyone all at once, don't you think? I did. Jason's sister, Jennifer is pregnant and we got to feel the baby move! Yey! I was able to call most of my family and catch up with their latest happenings. I LOVE talking to my family, so talking to most of them in one weekend was a treat. Kind of like a chocolate treat. It's so gooood. Anyway. This may sound silly but one aspect of the trip that i particularly enjoyed (though it was bittersweet) was seeing my handsome Pharaoh the cat. Awwwww. I miss him deeply. I pulled him out of the grip of death when he was a teeny one so we have a special bond, he and I do. The good thing is that he has an amazing family not only looking after him and making sure he's fed and all, but loving him and giving him daily reasons to purr. I miss him though!
The last night we were in Denham we had the opportunity of hosting a little coffee get-together deal at Jason's parent's house for those who support us with finances, prayer, and friendship. There was plenty of yum coffee to go around and to take home too so the place smelled lovely. We thank God daily for those who make our daily living here possible and pray blessings upon their lives. We love you all!
On our way back to Central America we picked up a rascal to bring along with us. His name is Jacob Schoen and he is a little brother to us. His purposes in coming are to hang out with his buddy Jason, explore a cool country, chase bugs and chickens, and most importantly (his dad says), learn Spanish. He is doing all of the above and we are having fun in the process. I (very stupidly) introduced him to the world of Yahtzee, which has become his favorite game. Let's just say he and i have played a lot of Yahtzee lately. Last night I plastered him on some Boggle. He always claims to be better or smarter than me but i proved him wrong. At least where Boggle is concerned. Please pray for him (and us, haha) as he learns a new language and discovers other ways of life and culture. He is an awesome kid and we desire for his heart to grow ever closer to our Lord and Savior. On to the next chapter....

Im going out to buy the game yahtzee before Jake gets home so I can practice playing. I will be a worthy opponent at all board/dice games. Thank you Sarah for your time and care you have shared with Jake, and also your patience...

Friendships are the fragrant gardens where God brings together intertwining kindred spirits.
