Thumb Twittler

Ho hum. Di dum di dum. I’m a wee bit bored. It’s not that I haven’t been doing anything lately. I have been doing a bit here and there. It’s mostly that not much is required of me as of late. Our state of busyness is pretty much feast or famine in these parts. Don’t be thinking too much of it though because I’ll probably be slammed with more than I can handle sooner or later. Ah well, let’s see. What can I update you on…We’ve been having a great time with our new missionary friends! The past few weeks we were busy driving all over the place helping them get situated. It’s sooo much easier when you can have someone show you around I think. Jason and I kinda had to be adventurers when we moved here and figure it out on our own. That was a good thing though! I love exploring! I’m as curious as Chimi and take delight in following little un-traveled paths. A great part of having new friends in town is that you just HAVE to give them a good tour of the place, otherwise they would be deprived. God was wise (wouldn’t you know it) and brought them here during the best season possible. The sun has finally decided to end its tea party with the clouds and has been spreading its cheer permanently… permanently until April that is. We have set aside our Saturdays to show them around the lovely spots that we enjoy so much yet seldom have time or energy to go to. So far we’ve hit a couple of beaches, and today our pastor and his family took us to the best waterfall I’ve been to yet. This place is amazing! It’s so unique that I believe God paid some extra attention to it. It’s just too perfect. As you can see in the picture, there are two giant rocks, the water falls right in the middle, and perfectly placed in between the rocks is another rock. Behind the waterfall is a cave and surrounding the pool of water is the rainforest. It really, really just doesn’t get better than that. I could let this be my daily shower any day…but only if there were some secret knob that makes the water warm.
The Lord has been using my bilingualism quite a bit lately. I’ve had the privilege of translating a lot of sermons and even part of a leadership training seminar. Another tidbit is that a Canadian friend of ours has asked me to give her Spanish lessons. Why she would ask me is beyond my comprehension. It’s one thing to know correct grammar, it’s quite another thing to know WHY the grammar is correct. But thank God, she is my kind of student because she’s not interested in the technical aspect of things and only wants to concentrate on conversation. Urra! I’ll teach someone like that any day. So, every Tuesday at ten o’ clock I will be a Spanish teacher. I wrote more than I meant to so that’s all for now. I love you all and pray that we all rejoice in the Lord, for he is good!

This was under water. Wierd huh?

Well, Sarah, if you are bored silly, I have an opportunity for you. A friend here at IBT has a beauty salon just outside Indianapolis. He told me yesterday that he is putting in two new glass display cases for the purpose of selling unusual jewelry. I told him about your stuff, and he definitely wants some samples as soon as you can get them to me. So, get to looking for seeds and stones and pearls and gold and...

Love ya!!!!!!
