Why we are excited:

Because after over a year of dreaming, planning, saving and wishing time would fly, I am going to see my familyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!! Danny is getting marriiiiiieeeeed! Squeeeeeeee!!!!!!! This really, really is a dream come true and tomorrow, my trip will be set in motion and after a long (probably insane) day of traveling, I will be filling my arms with loved ones, talking way too loud and fast, switching back and forth from Spanish to English without even realizing it, and smiling a lot. A lot. = ] I have waited and waited and waited and waited, with the thought ever in the back of my mind that at some point I would be seeing family, and now, it is time. Time to go. Time to see. Time to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who sent well wishes for our health, who prayed for us and stood in the gap for us. We are all better. Yesterday was rough for me, but today, excitement is the best medicine. Luka and I are sporting a mean cough, but are supposedly not contagious anymore and our energies are slowly returning. He is clinging a little less and playing a little more, which means I have finally had a chance to rest a bit and pack and all that. So. Off on our journey we go! We leave this afternoon for the Big City, stay the night and fly out tomorrow morning. Pray that Luka sleeps every single minute on the plane...for four hours. Plays sweetly in the airport for some more hours. Then sleeps every single minute on the plane for even more hours. Yeah. Pray. I am on my own this time!
