The past few days sadness has been creeping into my heart. The Fuzz (Jeff white...the person Jason answers to) has come and gone in a whirlwind of meetings, eatings, and project sight seeings. It was good to see him and catch him up on the project here....but that was not my cause for sadness. While Jeff was here, Jason and I being caught up in his whirlwind spent all day out of the house for two days, and in the process Chimi the cat managed to disappear without so much as a meow. With each day that passed my heart sank a little more with the thought that he would not be returning his black and white self to our home. I called out to him expectantly every time I missed him, but it was no use. This morning Gerardo the neighbor tried to cheer me up with the idea that maybe Chimi went girlfriend hunting. Chimi managed to really cheer me up, however, when he decided to stroll in around 5:00 in the afternoon. Fancy that. He was coveeeerred in briars and smelled like a combination of smelly feet and teetee. Hence the bath. Much to his chagrin I bathed and scrubbed him. He was probably wondering why in the world he decided to come back to that kind of treatment, but once he realized how briarless and soft he turned out he changed his mind. About thirty minutes ago we were cuddling with our prodigal puss when we realized the stench was NOT gone. After a brief search we realized he has an oozing cut on his head. That is where the smell is coming from! Aack! Let's just say the vet will be having an extra visitor tomorrow.....

Sarey,
Aunt Linda has two beautiful cats she and George rescued, with another huge puffy one who yearns to be included, but alas, doesn't have house privileges (the little house cat hisses at him). I think of you every time the cats want to cuddle.
