March Showers

It has been dry. It has been dusty. It has been HOT. Thank goodness we've had two showers this week. A real one with rain and then another real one with even MORE gifts! For more than two months without any rain, the skies cried at the state of the dusty rooftops, thus doing something about them.
And then, a group of ladies who also happen to be my friends decided to bless us with yet another shower, making this an extremely blessed baby. The poor boy will have no reason not to think he is a prince. He'll be confused as to why his parents can't feed him with a silver spoon. It's simple wee one...we just don't have one. = ) But we love you tons. Anyway. We all got together under some really cute decorations, ate a feast (I'm SO glad I can eat again!), played silly shower games, (to which I won a snickers bar) oohed and ahhed at the presents, and had an altogether great time. And the cake, the CAKE! The intricacy of the design, the flavor. You just wouldn't believe it so here is a picture. So cute.
And the baby iiiiis....still comfortable apparently....sigh. PLEASE be born....
